OUR 3-PLY LAMINATE DRI FABRIC IS UNIQUE TO OUR BAGS AND WE LOVE IT FOR VARIOUS REASONS. FIRST AND FOREMOST IT'S A WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE FABRIC WHICH MAKES IT GREAT FOR KEEPING RAIN AND OTHER ELEMENTS ON THE OUTSIDE, AND NOT LETTING ODOUR AND HEAT ACCUMULATE ON THE INSIDE. AS A SIDE BENEFIT, IT'S EXTREMELY LIGHT WEIGHT. THAT MEANS THAT YOUR BAG ISN'T WEIGHING YOU DOWN AND IS LESSENING THE FATIGUE ON YOUR BODY THROUGHOUT THE DAY COMPARED WITH MOST LAPTOP BAGS.

SAY WHAT? TRANSLATION: IF YOU PLACED A 1" DIAMETER TUBE OVER TOP OF THE FABRIC, YOU COULD PUT 5000MM OF WATER INTO SAID TUBE BEFORE WATER WOULD START TO LEAK THROUGH. PERFECT FOR LIGHT RAIN, SNOW AND GENERAL INCLEMENT WEATHER.

 

BREATHABILITY (MOISTURE VAPOR PERMEABILITY): 700 GR | M2 | JIS STANDARD

SAY WHAT? TRANSLATION: THIS MEANS THAT 700 GRAMS OF WATER COULA PASS THROUGH ONE SQUARE METER OF OUR DRI FABRIC, FROM THE INSIDE TO THE OUTSIDE, OVER A 24 HOUR PERIOD. JUST ENOUGH TO LET ODOURS AND HEAT DISSIPATE AND NOT ACCUMULATE.

 

ABRASION RESISTANCE: OVER 20,000 CYCLES | ISO 12947-2:2000

SAY WHAT? TRANSLATION: ABRASION RESISTANCE IS THE MEASURED ABILITY OF A FABRIC TO RESIST SURFACE WEAR. IN OUR CASE, THE FABRIC HAS BEEN RUBBED IN THE SAME SPOT 20,000 TIMES WITHOUT ANY NOTICEABLE OR APPRECIABLE CHANGE IN APPEARANCE OR PERFORMANCE.

 

WEIGHT: 180 GSM +/-5% TOLERANCE FOR REFERENCE, AN 18OZ

STANDARD CANVAS HAS A WEIGHT OF BETWEEN 600 AND 800 GSM. OUR DRI FABRIC IS EXTREMELY LIGHT AND DURABLE IN COMPARISON.

 

COMPOSITION

WHAT ARE THE 3 LAYERS COMPRISED OF? THE TOP LAYER IS A 100% WOVEN POLYESTER - THE SAME FABRIC USED IN A VARIETY OF OUTERWEAR GARMENTS. THE BACKING IS TPU (THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANES), WHICH ADDS STABILITY AND STRENGTH. ADN SANDWICHED BETWEEN THESE IS A WATERPROOF/BREATHABLE LAYER.

 

CONSTRUCTION

HOW IS THE FABRIC CONSTRUCTED? THESE 3 LAYERS ARE BONDED TOGETHER THROUGH A LAMINATION PROCESS WHICH ENSURES THAT THEY ARE TOGETHER FOR LIFE AND AREN'T GOING TO PEEL APART.
